BenQ will release some devices on the basis of Android
BenQ general manager Peter Chen has informed that BenQ company in connection with growing popularity of platform Google Android plans to release some smart phones and netbooks on the basis of this OS by 2010. He has underlined, that first will be presented Android-phones working on hardware platforms Intel and Qualcomm, and portable computers will be release later.
In spite of the fact that the operational system is financially more accessible to developers, the amount of accessible software products still is not enough, that is a barrier to small suppliers of the personal computer, has noted Chen.
Several years ago company BenQ had certain weight in the world mobile market, but acquisition of mobile division Siemens has led only to losses and loss of trust of buyers. Now BenQ hopes to restore the name and influence with new smart phones on the basis of Android.
